Adoption Counselors help prospective adopters find animals that are an appropriate match for their household, lifestyle, and experience.
Responsibilities include:
Communicating with applicants
Discussing the needs and personalities of available animals
Reviewing adoption information
Answering questions
Facilitating introductions where appropriate
Helping adopters understand their responsibilities
The goal of this role is not simply to complete adoptions, but to help create successful, long-term placements that are in the best interests of both the animal and adopter.
